Everyone seems to be talking about blockchain and how it will disrupt virtually any industry in the near future. The IP community is no exception, some say.
I will be speaking at the “IP Executive Week” in Munich next week, where management level staff from national and regional IP offices will meet to learn about the impact of cutting-edge technology such as AI and blockchain, as well as the changes caused by these technologies.
Of course, there are many use cases for blockchain technology in the IP field. But I’m curious for your opinion:
What is your favorite use case for blockchain technology in the IP field that leverages the blockchain’s inherent benefits.
And why is blockchain better than a conventional (automated but centralized) solution in that use case?
Let me know in the comments!
